STEPHEN ROBINSON is on Sunderland’s hitlist if they miss out on their top target Will Still.

The Black Cats are fighting with French side Lens for the English former Stade de Reims coach and may improve the contract on offer

But Robbo has jumped up their list of potential alternatives.

The Northern Irishman taking the Buddies into Europe and to back-to-back top sixes hasn’t gone unnoticed at the Stadium of Light.

At that time Stewart's value was a tenth of what it became imo.

True. Us missing Stewart is also somewhat offset by the fact his sale was possibly the best bit of business the club has ever done.

It's not an easy position to sort out but we won't start the next season lacking in that department imo.

Well that would be a right boot in the balls. Just checked. They finished 5th but because of the daft way the SPL works they had less points than Aberdeen in 7th. Also lost 18 games and only won 13. Would be a very underwhelming appointment.

Not a bad shout imo.

I remember him rowing with a supporter and later making up quite honourably ...

... his little team have played some good football against the odds imo.

Understatement.

Welll this doesn’t sound like desperation at all. Back to back top sixes in a league no better than League One imo.

I think you're right.

Supporters pointing out we need a centre forward, as if the club haven't noticed, may feel insightful which is nice.

Alan Nixon btw ^^^

Isn't that what you said about Ross Stewart?

More than likely :emoticon-0102-bigsm but we are in a better position now, and the head coach is a totally different kettle of fish to taking a risk on a young goalscorer.

To be honest I have no issue taking risks on young players from wherever if the potential is there.

Whilst we obviously need someone who has us winning games and is hopefully good tactically and plays good football, given the age of our squad, we also need someone who can develop players to realise their potential.

Of the names linked, does anyone know who's best suited to that attribute? I don't think I do.

You did mate.

We have it on file with sworn affidavits and written evidence from various posters.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ask you to leave the forum to prevent you further incriminating yourself.

If you do not have a solicitor one will be provided for you <laugh>

Sat here chuckling to myself, well done :emoticon-0102-bigsm.

On that high note I’m off to bed!
