Been a decent final so far, albeit neither team has the quality in the final third yet, Fiorentina especially have had some chances, not too dissimilar from last year’s final for them.

Followed up by a gash second half. That’s a second 45 mins I’ll never get back.

Don’t think either keeper made a save. Olympiacos especially playing with zero ambition.

It was bloody boring!
It promised plenty of chances and goals, based on recent results but delivered nothing.
It needs to go to pens to provide some drama.

He has more managerial experience than any of Matt Busby, Bill Nicholson, Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley or Brian Clough before they got their first big job...and Pep Guardiola too I think

True, he could end up a real success story there but it’s still a bizarre choice.

Relegated with Burnley to getting the Munich job just weeks later.

First ever Greek team to win a European trophy.

Exactly why I think it was a rare great decision by UEFA to introduce a third European competition. Provides nights like this to clubs that likely wouldn’t have had them in Europa/ Champions League. Just wished we took it seriously when we were in it, we were joint favourites to win the thing, would’ve killed for a night like this.

Europa has to be the priority for Spurs next season. Winning that would tick all the boxes (champions league football so the financial side, a trophy to end the drought and a great night/memory for the fans)

This game sums up Real ,if you don't take your chances then the inevitable happens , they never seem to panic

They have a "muscle memory" for the CL final
that the Poool pre-Heysel also used to have.

I assume that regularly reaching the final
(and winning a large proportion) is a big part of it.
