For someone so pro-Acun this is an odd criticism when it's clearly not Acun who is doing the work permit application etc. It's also why I've said all along we need a proper Director of Football in place if Tan's going to have a few things on his plate.
Whichever way you cut it, it's a ****ing long time from identifying someone to getting them in the door.
Completely agree and if there was so much still to get sorted why on earth throw his name out there so early?
I think keeping things quiet is something acun/his team need to work on. But I'm not sure we'll ever see that just with the way he is and his way of wanting/needing media exposure. It obviously works very well in his other businesses but in football, it's sometimes best keeping your head down and mouth shut until it's all done and dusted
As was pointed out earlier the Mackems haven’t had a head coach since they sacked off John Beale. If you check their board they still haven’t a clue who that might be. Just because the HDM have just published the work permit story it doesn’t mean it’s only just been applied for. More than likely Baz Cooper has been sat on it until he was required to fill more column inches for the HDF.
For someone who admits he likes things done quickly because of his lifestyle, he isn’t very good at it. Other than sacking Rosie, everything else seems to drag on and on. I always think in football, the longer it drags on, the more it won’t happen. Hopefully it’ll get done this week and we can talk transfers
I'd be v surprised if Rosie gets a gig like some of the ones some seem to be suggesting. Ok, he's now got 18 months experience under his belt with us, but he's still very inexperienced and represents a big leap of faith for the sort of clubs being mentioned on here. On the surface it might look like he's some sort of a rising star, but when these clubs really analyse things they'll more than likely come to the same conclusions as our owner did. I won't bother repeating all the alarming stats from this last season and more specifically this calendar year.
Yes when they Analyse things i doubt they will see Rosie took us to 15th away from relegation then improved to 7th place only just missing out on the playoffs but still up there trying against all the expected strong teams that were there and they will probably come to the conclusion if he had been giving more time like he was promised in the 3 year plan he would or could have completed the expectations they were hoping for. You see these other clubs are probably not worried about winning just 1-0 or Drawing and they would rather not have an exciting 4-3 loss they probably rather have the end result.
Liam Rosenior will be a front runner for every single Championship manager's job going, he's mainly seen as a rising star, due to him being a rising star.
I'm sure those other clubs would be absolutely overjoyed to have the same home form we had and also to have 3 wins in the last 13 games when pushing for promotion. He'll absolutely get another job and it will definitely be deserved, but he needs to learn from his time here, listen to people around him, learn not to stifle talent but over coaching and gain so attacking confidence. Promotion chasing teams don't want a manger who would rather not lose as oppose to really go for a win.
