Seems that way although as I understand it (and I really don't) we can mitigate a likely penalty by selling players by July .. we had Kristiansen, Soumare and Iversen out on loan and doing well and also Souttar sat twiddling his thumbs for most of the season - I expect they'll all likely go, as will big earners, Iheanacho, Ndidi and Praet ...
I’ve always liked Ndidi :bandit:

What a day!

Winning the playoffs is the way to get promoted. Being champions is a bit of a damp squib by comparison

One of the best Saints days ever

Fans awesome
Great to see Wembley 90%+ full of fans and not many corporates

When we got back to the pub we’re staying at we were knackered and hoarse

A few Leeds fans there and all taking it well

Wow, just seen the pure joy on Solak's face as he was greeting the players as they collected their medals. Mistakes have been made where SR are concerned, but they are desperate to see the club succeed.

The cameras picked him out when play was stopped on 90 minutes for KWP and James clash of heads. Looked like he was absolutely ****ting himself, not sure if hew was thinking about the money at that point. Couldn't blame him if he was <laugh>

On reflection I was wrong. I did (and do) care whether we were playing in the prem or the championship.

All week I've been telling myself and others that I'm happy either way, and for the most part this is true as I far enjoy the atmosphere and matches in the EFL to those souless affairs in the prem...

However, all week and during the match yesterday it was all about Leeds: about them prepping for the final, what can they do to get back into the match, blah blah blah.

This has been true for most of my Saints supporting life where we're the underdog, the plucky little team with the only exception being when we were in L1 and Championship previously.

And you know what, yesterday was all the sweeter for all of that. So roll on next season and let's give a few of those 'bigger clubs' a bloody nose!

COYS!

Great to see so many ex-saints players that still care. Fair few of them at the game like Davis, Long and Lallana (interesting one considering how much fans make out he doesnt like us) and plenty more leaving comments on social like Yoshida, Pelle, Guly and Lavia.

What was interesting with Lallana, is he was suited and booted in the Saints contingent in the Royal Box. Makes you wonder if there's something lined up there.
