The sacking wasn't a disaster the next choice of coach was the disaster.

Flight of fancy. We sacked a manager who was obviously getting more out of these lads than almost anyone else could (got us into the playoffs at least a season before we should have), the idea that we could secure the perfect, golden moment, appointment is why we finished down towards the bottom of the table. You have to be able to recognise a good thing when it's staring you in the face, or you'll always wonder why you fail.

Strong reports and rumours that McKenna is rejecting a new contract offer from Ipswich and will be moving on. I'd imagine Brighton is where he'll go. Imagine the unbelievable high of a double promotion just for your manager to leave before kicking a ball in the PL.

Reports that they were willing to quadruple his wage.

I found their fans to be a bit arrogant this season, be interesting to see how they respond to the news if it gets confirmed.

I'd go to Brighton if I were him. Good owner, good club structure, everyone who goes there seems to leave on an upwards trajectory, good squad with a good recruitment team who have a history of replacing players who leave well, no real pressure to finish top 8. Perfect job.

Yes he got us into the playoffs before time but by the time we got rid of him the team was going backwards. Not; ne is disputing what he done for us but it was time for a change, who we got in was a mistake not the sacking of mowbray.
