Mind, if any single one of most of our players, including probably even Clarke, came in in similar circumstances on loan for the second half of the season then we’d probably be saying we wouldn’t want to sign them permanently either. Again, it’s the importance of a good head coach and, if we did sign him, then I’d want to see Styles under one before I declared him as not good enough.
A surprisingly large number didn’t think we should sign Clarke or Roberts permanently. Styles had moments that suggest there is a good footballer there so I wouldn’t be actively opposed to his signing but he certainly wouldn’t be a priority either.
Supporters get it wrong all the time and conveniently forget when the next transfer rumour comes around.
Wyke was on loan wasn’t he? Think he’s now out of contract for Wigan though so a free agent. If I was a betting man I’d say Wrexham beckons.
Jobe to follow in his brother's footsteps? https://www.footballinsider247.com/...sign-sunderland-star-jobe-bellingham-sources/
He’s one I could see us making a quick profit on, Bellingham tax probably adds ten million to his price especially given his age and stats from last season, absolutely want to keep him here long term mind
