That happened about 10 year ago. It was a Valentine’s Day stunt. They don’t do that all the time over there.
Incredible match, drove up from Mansfield and struggled to get in for kick off ... ... fabulous support and incredible celebrations.
Not that it matters of course. The whole world sems to have gotten itself wound up about what people call themselves.
What they never seem to get is that while their 'identifying adjective' may be absolutely critical to their existence ... ... it's of virtually no interest to most of the rest of the planet.
I was on the plane to Miami for the end of season trip ( Safc v Fort Lauderdale? and another) as the match was taking place . Anyone else on that trip ?
Imagine how far some folk would advertise their preferred identification, let's say a 'Dog'....and then find that an akward pub landlord or restaurant owner decides there is no dogs allowed, and bar them out, or serve them drinks and food from a dog bowl. Would they still offended?..
Caused completely by those people themselves. Most folk just want to go about their lives in peace. Not be aggressively bullied into celebrating people who've got various versions of chronic 'only gay in the village' syndrome.
I'm not sure I agree. There is a difference between opening celebrating who they are and "aggressively bullied into celebrating people..." Some may feel that openly gay, trans, queer folk are some sort of threat to them, or they get offended by the use of pronouns etc but I think it's a stretch to call it bullying. To each their own I say and I don't care at all if people celebrate who they are in front of me.
There would be no basis for that because the person in question isn't a canine, even if they identify as one. That's a physical impossibility, whereas changing your sex isn't.
This has to be the worst topic going, can we move onto something more interesting? If people want to cut their nuts off and wear a wig, I'm not going to approve of it, but I suppose unless I feel the urge to confront them (I don't) and prevent them from doing so, I'm just going to ignore it and get on with my own business.
Why would anyone be offended by gay, trans queer folk celebrating their sexuality in front of them, I would just believe they were a bunch of nutcases with nothing better to do.
