I'm highly sceptical that Sunderland turned down the chance to sign Jordan Henderson from 12 months ago, Liverpool captain, England regular, hometown lad with an outstanding reputation and profile. Especially if wages weren't a problem.

Are Ajax releasing him? Otherwise how are we going to pay for him this summer? Everything I can find says they want to sell him.

 

I don't see it as so far fetched or unrealistic as some on here.

Yeah. Forgot he wasn't a free agent last summer. No way were we going to be able to do that.

 

Yeah I do the same, it's always in my head ge went on a free. But Liverpool wanted the money for him and got a decent fee!

 

There's not a chance in hell that he would sign for the mags in any capacity

Unsure on him tbh and I don't really see the Stewart comparison. Nowhere near as good as Stewart off the ball defensively and nowhere near as good as Stewart at linking the play, based on both data and eye test.

He'll cost a lot more than that tweet suggests as well.
