Cooper definitely scarred after dealing with Marinakis haha! But but the footballing world still thinks we're brilliant even after sacking Rosenior!

Managed 10 goals in two seasons up front for Cardiff. They weren't big fans of him.
Shows how **** the B 2 is compared to Championship.
Yeah Baz commented on one of the threads on Twitter, he’s stating it as his opinion but he’s obviously ITK.last article didn’t say that has there been something else said from Baz
I didn't read it as that at all. He said in the interview that the coach is not responsible for recruitment - the coach tells the boss what kind of player he wants and Tan and the scouting team go out and get them. Very much like most PL clubs these days. Pandur was obviously one of those players (good with his feet and, incidentally, much cheaper than his actual worth) but LR didn't play him, in fact didn't even have him on the bench in the end. I can see how that, and other issues, may have rubbed Acun up the wrong way but is miles off him wanting to pick the team.He 'wants' to pick the team. Meaning when Rosenior doesn't do what he says he gets the boot.
Im not debating any of that though.
Whilst I disagree with changing a manager who has overseen progress, Acun is entitled to take that decision.
I think it’s a bigger gamble than sticking with Rosenior, others don’t.
My point was the inference that we’d have been jumping up and down in anger if Grant was in charge and didn’t get us in the play offs. I said I wouldn’t because there was still progress. It’s unfair to say that people were only angry because it’s Rosenior.
Some people were frustrated that throwing attacking players at it in January didn’t yield results, some people were more cautious and thought boosting one area on the pitch is more complicated.
Ultimately it comes down on where you stand on the progress Rosenior has made and whether the home form and the football on display was enough. I thought the progress was enough, regardless of the manager involved.
Stoke weren't big fans of Joselu either and look at him now, 17 for Real Madrid and 2 in a semi final of the champions league at the age of 34!Managed 10 goals in two seasons up front for Cardiff. They weren't big fans of him.
I really liked Rosenior and thought the progress under him was good. However, looking to the future, the bigger concern for me is that Acun has sort of backed himself into a corner with the next manager, and it could potentially become a cycle.
If the football is really exciting but we finish 7th again, does Acun sack the manager for missing out on the play-offs? It feels like he has to really, with all the talk of progress as well as excitement. If he doesn't it looks like a strange decision, as he's inadvertently set a really low bar for what constitutes failure.
The other scenario is that he sticks with a manager if we don't go up, accepting that getting rid of someone who just missed out is, in hindsight, a bit mad, and goes again. But after his Humberside interview, he clearly isn't that kind of person.

Why? Acun's come out and said LR wasn't sacked because of the final league position, so why would he sack the new guy for that reason?

He scored 4 goals in two years at stoke. Purely saying what someone did years ago has no bearing on how they do for future clubs all the time. Wasn't a serious comparison anyway, just you can pick stats like that to make any point you like.i get your point but its far diff
he was at real madrid as a young lad
he was incredibly cheap and is a good poacher to bring on
Do you think if Acun had not thrown all these attacking players at LR in jan we would have done better after on the 1/1/2024 we was in 7th on 39 points and was doing reasonably well if he had not thrown all the new players into the mix would LR have been able to achieve a top 6 if things had just remained the same.
I’d take robins over cooperMark Robins is in the frame now, Walter remains the favourite.
