The moral of the story is: 'Don't believe something just because the majority think it. Use your own brain.' Of course a lot of people wont understand anything. Thanks for that, very interesting……

I think it was the Middlesbrough commentary saying that he didn't look the same player and wondered if he was carrying a knock
Does he? I haven't heard it yet, but from the bits reported on here, it sounds like he lost confidence in LR style, and that's why he was let go, not because we missed out on the top 6?
as a comparison I thought I'd look at our last 10 seasons in the Championship and compare League positions and goal scored and against
position for against
2010 /11 11th 52 51
2011 /12 8th 47 44
2012/13 2nd 61 52
2015/16 4th 69 35
2017/18 18th 70 70
2018/19 13th 66 68
2019/20 24th 57 87
2021/22 19th 41 54
2022/23 15th 51 61
2023/24 7th 68 60
make of it what you will but the problem doesn't seem to be scoring goals but letting them in at the other end although it can easily be argued that when we do score more we tend to let in more - having said that we really need to look at tightening the defence next season
I think Acun thought we are not going to win enough games if we keep the ball in our own half as much as we were doing. I think he was right.Does he? Zaroury was injured.
So even if we'd made Top 6 he'd be gone?

Does it matter? The reply was in response to Acun changing his tune. I haven't listened to all his interviews, but from what I have heard, I was saying I don't think he is.
I get the feeling that even a narrow defeat in the play offs would have ended with him goneSo even if we'd made Top 6 he'd be gone?
It matters if you're going to pretend that us missing the Top 6 played no part.
I've been quite vocal in my belief that LR, whilst improving us, has failed to deliver given the resources at his disposal. Not sure what you're getting at.
I think he might have been given too many toys to play with, and they weren’t a matching set.I've been quite vocal in my belief that LR, whilst improving us, has failed to deliver given the resources at his disposal. Not sure what you're getting at.
Its incredibly niave to think you can just bring in a few attackers in january and guarantee they slot in without being apart of pre season
It’s even more naive and sentimental to believe a man is going to carry on obsessively funding failure whilst simultaneously been bored to tears by a rigid system that does not work and certainly wouldn’t work in the prem.
It was more than that though. Its incredibly niave to think you can just bring in a few attackers in january and guarantee they slot in without being apart of pre season
It matters not what we think. The chairman and his backers are pumping the money in and expect a decent return for their investment.
I personally did not like the style of play we were trying to play. It was far too pedestrian and easy for teams to play against. I go to football to be entertained and not sit there looking at my watch wishing the time away.
It makes you wonder why they even bother with a January transfer window. Its incredibly niave to think you can just bring in a few attackers in january and guarantee they slot in without being apart of pre season
