They signed someone to play ahead of him last summer, would be a great move if patto moved on. Long term would love to see Young playing for us though, looks a real talent. Maybe Viktor Johanssen from Rotherham would be a better option for Young's long term development. All depends on how long we stay in the championship I guess.

Shame for the lad, but writing was on the wall. Must replace him with suitable experience in there.

As expected. He’s got experience and probably on a decent wage - of course we’d get rid.

 

In fairness, he’s no longer good enough. Harsh reality but it’s the right call. Adequate replacement is non-negotiable, though. Need someone with nouse and experience coming in to replace him.

 

I mean it's all fictional, I could be over/under estimating all of those, It depends what clubs are prepared to pay and how much we're wanting to sell. It was a "clean slate scenario" after all.

Not renewing Evans is the correct decision. Something like 60 appearances across 3 years isn't good enough and it's not like Alese where he has resale value. Coming off a long term injury as well. Use his wages for replacements who can play.

But who is making the decision?

 

I'd imagine that has a huge sell on clause or a low buy back clause as well.

 

12 goals in 67 Championship appearances. He's worth less than a third of what they're asking and that is taking into account his age and potential.

Bye Dack. Terrible signing - contributed **** all on the pitch. I’m all for signing experienced lads, it’s needed this summer no doubt - but they’ve gotta still be able to play/stay fit. Dack is done at this level.
