It’s unlikely we will get Cooper but people saying he wouldn’t manage us in the Championship because he wants a Premier#hip Club seem to think there are lots of Premier Manager jobs about.
For a start he will not be getting a top 6 or 7 club.
The 3 newly promoted clubs will stick with the manager that got them promoted.

    That leaves about 10.
Most of these will be sticking with their manager and it looks like WHU have gone for a foreign coach meaning Moyes will also be looking for a Premier club.
Clubs like Brighton, Villa, the skunks, Bournemouth, Everton and suchlike will (I expect) keep things as they are.

Maybe it will be Will or Maric but I would prefer Cooper and if we really wanted to I think we could get him.

*I did hear there was a ginger bloke looking at houses in Pennywell so maybe it’s too late for Cooper.

Yeah it would. The DoF position being sorted would also but to me it looks like KS is staying.

Just something I heard in passing but if Kompany leaves Burnley they will go for Cooper.

Why would they sack him? He is out of contract at the end of the season.

Agreed, he's been treated shabbily. He's a decent bloke, as I understand it, and very well respected. Based on a little bit of insight into the West Ham board, I think its possible that he's not glamorous enough for them and the lack of European football next season is enough of a reason to pull the trigger. While he was securing that, I don't think it was justifiable. He's been hamstrung though, they were always going to struggle after losing Rice. I think losing Paqueta will be another big blow to them, so he's probably made the right decision to go.

I do. It wasn't a pleasant thing to say. I've heard from other quarters that he's OK though. Although that was mainly to do with his coaching so I could have got hold of the wrong of the stick.

He might be a decent bloke but from his time here I observed a pessimistic, mysoginistic quitter.

Maybe he's not a decent bloke. Some people who know him clearly think he's OK though. The quitter bit is interesting because his stint with us didn't affect his reputation.

We were such a basket case he was absolved. I think it did affect his reputation to an extent though, West Ham only gave him a short term deal initially if I remember but he did well with them and sadly football doesn’t care much if you’re an arsehole if you perform.

He didn’t actually say that though did he? All of us have said things “I’ll thump you if you do that again” or “I’ll smash your face in” without it being an actual threat.
