Of course, but if we want the change to be as big as possible at the club you'd want them here helping to assess the squad and just getting settled in the area before pre season. Announcing one of them now but neither being here until June is just as bad as not announcing one of them till June in my eyes.
I believe it's something like an 18 month course. Hopefully it's towards the end of it and looking at his instagram post it suggests it might be the last part of it he's completing now
I want something to happen asap but I honestly don’t see the urgency others seem to. No manager / head coach would be returning to work for another couple of weeks anyway. Obviously us fans want to see some form of “moving forward” and I’m one of those fans. But I don’t think it’s necessary to be immediately now if the right person needs another few weeks
Fingers crossed we're just waiting on that then. Hopefully it's just a formality. If it is going to be him, of course.
it’s interesting timing because he was supposed to still be managing Reims this week. So clearly a last minute thing. Perhaps suggests he’s getting it out of the way quickly so he can move on…
And fwiw, the new head coach doesn’t have to be formally appointed or announced to start assessing our squad. Indeed knowing both of their characters, if they’ve been interviewing for the post over the last few weeks, I’d be shocked if they didn’t already know our players inside out.
Yeah that's fair. Would like them to be here and getting settled though, especially Still who from what i've seen is a big family man. Just a massive summer and it needs to be near perfect for success to be had.
He works on the radio, a sports and news radio. Should've known better that people twist stuff. Nothing to see here.
Have they sacked Moyes yet???. If not fat lady and all that stuff. I'm not saying he's going there but it's footy things change very quickly indeed
No, but it's been announced that Lopetegui has agreed to take over if he goes. Agreed, things can change.
If its done it's done, I ain't arsed. OH and Moyes will not go easy , unless there is a massive wonga in his pocket
While I seriously dislike Moyes, I feel like he's been treated harshly at West Ham. I understand wanting a change of style to try and push on, like Bournemouth replacing O'Neil with Iraola which was also deemed harsh by outsiders even though its proven to be successful, but Lopetegui and Moyes play the same style of football. Makes no sense to me.
