Oh, they won't get £10m. He's a good player but he's only got 8 in 31 this season and that will put people off. But they're open to selling him which is good and their starting price isn't stupid either. He's also had a couple of bad loans last year which Man City will be mindful of, I'm assuming that's part of the reason they want to cash in whilst his value is high and not risk another dodgy loan.
He’s a good player and I suppose it depends what our budget is and what we’ve earmarked for a striker(s). It’s a chunk, given what else we need, hopefully we can throw in some loaded fries and get him for more like £5million. Or structured like the jaden deal
Looks like Mr Connolly has departed, I hope he gets his head and form back after the Norwich incident. Never been the same player since. https://x.com/harry_hcafc/status/1787103334383387071
Yeah, I would have thought we'd have had a better chance getting him if they were just loaning him back out.
Think we might be over selling Delap a bit. £10m is a lot for a non prolific striker with 2 dodgy championship spells and one reasonably good season that involved a long term injury. We know his value and he fits our system, but is anyone gambling on him replicating his form for us and not preston. 5m plus add ons and a hefty sell on sounds about right.
