How would people react if we offered Evan’s anther year? I’d be ok with that? He showed us what we’d been missing yesterday.
Probably not, but all depends on who we bring in

I think we need 2 CMs to come in, 1 must be a CDM, the other im fine as a CDM or box to box midfielder

Just dont think evans is what we need to kick on

Wouldnt be totally against it, but it would all cone down to who signed

I think we will get 1 more year out of Neil. Hope so anyway.

Wouldn't lose a winks kip when Patto leaves.

Clarke is the big one. Even when he is not 100, he is still our main attacking threat.
The one that will break my heart the most is Dan Ballard

The two Dans would be a massive loss, both way too good for us though if we’re being honest.

They are only too good for us if we have no ambition to push for promotion.
You are asking for relegation back to league one with that thought process, imo.

Good players carry teams, apparently loads of our Xl are quality players yet look at where we finished. All of it can’t come down to the managers/coach. I just don’t see it personally. Good players but not far too good for this level yet.

But the players that most are saying are quality are the players that helped us finish 6th last season

Neil ballard and Clarke get into every side in the division imo, quality PL n European teams have been watching them closely for a while.

Who knows if they are good enough for the PL yet, they are high end championship players that you can build a promotion winning side around.

The issue this season has been a combination of things, which we have all discussed most weeks

Id be gutted if we lost all 3 of them

Reading between the lines, I worry about his professionalism.

Could be a million miles off but comments are made now and again that seem to suggest it isn't up to scratch.
There’s a lot of wholly incorrect, untrue and pretty libellous things being said about the lad on RTG. Both today/yesterday and when Beale was here.

They did, but they’ve also been mainstays this season and we’ve been poor for the most part we look a million miles away from last season. Diallo obviously been a huge miss but so has Evans, I think the importance of his role is overlooked by our fans sometimes.

If we had to lose Ballard and Clarke but took £40-50m in I wouldn’t be too arsed. There’s an abundance of quality wingers out there who can be picked up for pennies so I’d be confident we could replace Clarke. Burns, Whitaker, Summerville all signed for less than we spent on Mundle. Mikey Johnstone is probably the one I’d go for if we have the money, cost a few bob but looked **** hot for WBA second half of the season. And we absolutely have to utilise the loan market better.

Neil is the one I’d like us to keep, think he’s came on a lot this season and he’d be even better with the security of a proper 6 in behind him.

Not over there so not seen any of that, couldn't say whether the stories that seem to go around are true or not, but they certainly don't seem to be going away.

I dont think those 3 can be blamed for our performances this season, ballard been a rock at the back, Neil is having to do 2/3 players work in the middle and Clarke been unreal

All players are replaceable, just hard to replace 3 quality championship players in 1 window when we already need 4/5 players

Big summer ahead recruitment wise, im excited as the messages im hearing is theyve learnt from mistakes so heres hoping - proof is in the pudding as they say (or something like that)

I don’t mind Ekwah to be honest, he’s continually being played as the 6 and it’s clear he’s not comfortable there. If Neil was to move on I’d like to think Ekwah would play as the 8 and we would focus on buying a 6 that’s quality.
Yes this!!! The lad struggles to track back. The amount of goals this season where they have gone passed him and hasn't tracked back is unbelievable.

I know it doesn’t really matter in terms of football and results, but we have a squad full of really nice lads.

agreed. Perhaps arguably too nice considering the recent run. Too nice players with a too nice head coach. Not enough honesty and fear. Perhaps, missing that senior leader. Even Cory Evans seems an awfully nice chap

I'd like them all to stay but if Patto and Clarke go and it brings in £25 to £30 million to spend across the squad then it should see us improving in all areas.

Hume is another I would like to keep, but if decent money comes in, we have Pembele here already as his replacement so more funds for other areas.

Neil is the really difficult one as we are already short in midfield and he has been the heartbeat of the team this season and at times has played midfield on his own.

I don't think we are too short of midfielders in terms of numbers, but if Neil went, we would be woefully short in terms of quality. If I was in charge I would try all I can to hang on to Neil. We do need money coming in, but looking at our midfield, I think Matete, Embleton and Ekwah are all expendable.

Their sale as well as Clarke and Patto would give us quite a bit of working capital in which to strengthen. A new DM, with Neil, Rigg, Aouchiche and Jobe vying for the other midfield/ number 10 roles should be fine. Two central strikers, one CB, Willock and a goalie should be enough.

If maric is our new head coach wouldnt mind him bringing Lovro zvonarek with him

young cm, Croatian u21 International, very highly rated at bayern (played for 1st team this season). Very good technically but is about 6ft so has the physicality he would need

Obviously we would still need an experienced cdm on top of him
