we were 6th in jan still are squad isn't as bad as its being made out to be, yes it's missing some stuff but any decent coach will get a tune out of are squad, mowbray done it, and even beale still has us around the playoffs, if Still lives up to his hype and if the changes that are coming in the summer are correct

Fair enough. Dodds comments have made it feel a bit messy. I’m as interested in the DOF as much at this point cos that seems really urgent to oversee the window. The coach we could wait 10 days or so cos the whole industry will be in vegas.

So we have tried to sign experienced strikers? So this idea that Speakman will only sign youngsters is a myth. The fee that you refer to, i.e. the cost being too high, is one of the factors that we're all saying could prevent us from signing such players.

You make that sound like we walked away just because there was a fee but is it not because the fee was seen as too much/overpriced?

Out of interest who was it that Ipswhich just paid the price for? Have they been proved right?

We all agreed at the time and up until February that the club had done the right thing not paying the 3m or whatever is was for Simms. He hits form from January onwards and by about March some were using him as a "look what we could have if we didn't want just cheap or free players".
