I'm not going to lie, I'm going to be a bit disappointed if it is Still, his Reims team are a pretty dull watch and perform pretty poorly on metrics like xG etc even when doing well in the league - you could see this second half of the season drop off coming (I appreciate they lost players to the AFCON and the Asian cup and sold Matusiwa).

I don't find his persona, at least in the media, appealing either - a lot of self preservation and serving of his own interests even if it’s at the expense of his employers etc.

That said, if it is him then I'll be 100% behind him.
I think it’s telling that a lot of their fans are pro Still in the clubs announcement, and seem to think the club is being run like a **** show - so Still was dealt a tough hand in the final few months going off those opinions.

Aye, I agree to a point although that does bring me back to the self promotion and self preservation concerns I have - he gets to speak to the media every week and he's constantly publicly slating the club and the board when things go awry but taking credit when things go well. It may all be true and be accurate but the club's hierarchy don't get the same airtime so can't put their side forward in the same way, all this can easily permeate into a fanbases' consciousness and they can become convinced that all fault lies with the owners.

I personally think we saw it here to an extent at the end of Mowbray's tenure (as much as I liked him).

I too think that uncle Tony had run his course but the catalyst for his removal has always been Speakman and the lack of quality players he recruited the summer window and again , if Tony had not been binned, in this January window.

For good reason as well. He's been messed around by them since even before he was the head coach.

The stuff about not being allowed to quit after they sacked his predecessor/mentor for having time off to look after their dying kid?
Aye, fair and good point well made.
Yeah, saying to Still that he was taking over and he had to pay €600,000 to get out of the contract.

You mentioned it already but selling Matusiwa and replacing him with a free in Stambouli who has barely played hasn't exactly helped.

Reims have been really poor recently mind and I hope SAFC look into the reasonings behind the poor form.

Maybe we are the reason…
