Probably a 1% chance of it happening but if there’s any chance of United letting him go we should be throwing every spare penny we have at getting the boy back and building around him. If we got £15m for Clarke after spurs take their cut I’d spunk the lot on Diallo if he’d come here.

Absolutely I agree but I don’t think there’s any chance now. Love him mind, always will

Aye, he could be playing regular PL football for most teams I reckon. Given half a season to show what he can do he’d cement himself into every bottom half Xl easily IMO. Stranger things have happened in football though. I’d hope if there was a slight chance and Amad wanted it we’d go all out because he’d be the best player in our squad by a country mile.

He is likely to be going out on loan, i know hes been offered to clubs. United want a club right for his development and doesnt have to be a PL club, hes been offered to a few clubs in Europe - who i fancy us to get him over them

Obviously a lot changes quickly in football so might not be the case now but thats what i was told over a month a go

Makes sense. 22 y/o in July, really needs to be playing regular football.

I wouldnt personally. That way we will stand still. We will simply lose one stand out player with a good goals return for another. All the other problems will remain. We need a team that is greater than the sum of its parts, and that means sorting out 3 or 4 positions, not just one.

Amad would be instrumental to us going up IMO though he’s much much better than Clarke and would have more of an impact on our team than any current player by a mile. He’s head and shoulders above them all we seen that last season. Some players have something about them that can help you turn a game and he’s one of them, I’m not sure anyone in this seasons team has that ability. Clarke is good when we’re good. If Diallo came in and we signed a few other decent first team players with experience at this level or above we’d be laughing.

Been treat like absolute dirt here mind. 793 minutes played with 2 goals 1 assist. If we had played him consistently we could've been looking at a Simms/Latte Lath upturn in form after allowing the player to settle but instead he just gets dropped for midfielders. The only player to outscore him last season in Ukraine is sat top of the La Liga goalscorer charts and 3rd in the table, while Rusyn has barely kicked a ball. Pretty sure Tuterov was the one teaching him English as well? Hire a proper English tutor it's not hard.
Have to disagree mate. Mowbray got all kinds of daft accusations hoyed his way because he said he was struggling with the language and settling in. I even saw it suggested as a reason Mowbray went because he didnt try hard enough with the lad or foreign players in general. It has proven to be nonsense, as most of what was hoyed Mowbrays way. The bare reality is he hasnt looked engaged in his play or the team at all. Even his celebrations have been muted. He has looked like the weight of the world was on his shoulders at time. They probably were whilst his family were back in Ukraine and who knows what impact that had on his mental wellbeing with what is going on in that country. Sometimes not playing players is a kindness, and coaches, who are with them every day, need to make a judgement call on whether they are in right frame of mind. Saying we have treated him like dirt is out of order in my opinion. Players like Adil and Ba we can argue whether they deserve more, but I would bet Rusyn has had to deal with more in his personal life than most players we have and calling out coaches for not picking him is poor form, considering his context.

But we cant chuck every penny at one player mate. It would be barmy in our position to do so. A loan would be great, and investing in 3 or 4 perms, then I am onboard. But not Amad and 3 or 4 loans or freebies.

One brilliant player could outweigh 3 average ones though, and they can improve those around them. See Bruno G for those ****s up the road. Bang average midfielders around him playing like world beaters. If we were talking about splashing on someone like Simms then fair enough but we know what he’s capable of and he’ll only get better. Plus whatever we get from Clarke is money we didn’t have. We’d still have any money we were going to use to improve the squad anyway.

I know we want a bit more experience up front, but this fella would be very exciting. If we got him in however, you're looking at 3 or 4 strikers on the books with Rusyn being your proven best.

I know how I'd play it but it really depends on who's going where, you'd have to think Mayenda will go on loan given he had a crack in Scotland. Hemir is a huge question mark. Rusyn could be a wide option. But still, we'd be over stocked.

Might have to play two up top haha

I can see Rusyn leaving and the other two getting loaned out
