For me, Greaves would be much harder to replace with a cut price replacement than Philogene.

Yep Jaden would likely be replaced by Willock.
Quality left footed centre backs are not so readily replaced

Philogene is a head scratcher for me.... unless he's been told by his agent that XXX are definitely coming for you, I think many scouts will have been questioning what they saw pre injury... if we could get £18 to £20 million I'd take someones hand off.

I think the word was that Standard refused to agree on an option to buy in the loan deal.

A salesman’s tactic possibly, but also suggests signing him wouldn’t be easy or cheap.

Unless we get an offer we can’t refuse and if Greaves is prepared to stay another season, I’d sooner Cashin on Philogene. That’s assuming anyone is prepared to stump up enough money to tempt Acun.
