WOL with another fairy story. Striker in a B side scoring 11 goals in 61 games. For weeks they have promoted Bullit as if his agent was writing this stuff, dragging anyone they can for their opinion. As long as everyone is happy with dull boring defensive sit back football then he is your man.

Mostly crap from our usual craperie but his first point is relevant.

Striker, WTF!!! 11 goals in 61 games in a lower league. Down there with Ugbo and Deadhead.

Just reading about Ebou Adams and his performances with Direby.

Another example of a player who comes to us with decent credentials, we get nothing out of him, then he goes elsewhere and performs again.

We do it too often.
We're either signing players who don't fit our style (what style I hear you ask) or we're changing manager after signing players and the new manager doesn't fancy them.

Recruitment or management? Either way, it's cost us in performances and cash year after year.

Bobby Glatzel anyone?

Strange one with Adams. He was highly rated but difficult injuries meant we didn't see him for 12 months. Maybe he needed a fresh start at Direby.

Looks like he wants to stay there. Pity as I think he could do a job for us if he replicated his Direby form.

You need to remember that Derby were playing in League One this season and that's where Adams was playing when he came to us.

Glatzel and Adams 1st touch are very similar.

He was in L2 previously wasnt he.

Curtis Nelson also scooped all the Player of the Year awards there.

Theres a gulf between L1 and the Championship though Ipswich have managed it.

I think Derby with Collins NML Nelson and Adams as their better players will struggle though.

I understand that.
Maybe we should stop signing players from 'lower leagues'.
It still stands that we can't bring players on.
Lots of teams sign players from lower leagues and develop them, often selling them for profits.

And the question remains, scouting or management?

I'd agree with that given our dubious record. Max Watters and Gavin Whyte were two others recently brought in from League 1 and didn't make the step up.

Other than Ng, I'm struggling to think of someone who actually has made the successful jump since the Tan/Dalman/Choo triumverate has been running the show. Certainly anyone we've improved and sold on for a profit. Players like Greg Halford and Alex Revell were disasters.

Greg Halford was a good signing. How on earth was he a disaster.?? Good pro end of career helped us to promotion.!!!
