I don't see Rigg as a winger next year.

    Neither do I.
He is best in a central position - Rigg that is.

    .
You'd expect Rigg to compete for Neil's place when he leaves.

He's still 16, he's not going to start every game next year and certainly not in central midfield. At the minute, I think it's more important that he gets minutes rather than focus on a specific position. If that means he sometimes plays on the right, sometimes as number 10 and sometimes in the middle, then I think that's fine.

Could he be our 1st choice on the left then?

I've not seen enough of him to know how good he is, but unless we're massively increasing our wage bill this year, I'd expect us to be only signing experience if they're for the first 11.

Rigg V Aouchiche for me in the 10 next year. He has a great eye for a threaded pass. If we sign a proper striker who moves well they’d thrive off him.

That’s what I’m trying to understand. He’s a decent player and profile but we have Clarke, Ba, Mundle as right footed wingers. You could also include Rusyn and Adil in that. It suggests to me he’s the replacement for Clarke or someone else is leaving.

I meant competing for the 10, not as the striker.

Sorry I’m getting my threads mixed up. Jobe for me is better deeper not the 10.

    Striker x2
    Winger
    Defensive midfielder
    Left back
    Centre back
    Goalkeeper (maybe)

    And that's before anyone leaves.

We need a fairly heavy clear out also, both permanent and loans.

Need to clear players out for sure

Lb is an interesting one as we have a quality one in Cirkin - just never fit

I know its been doom n gloom this season but def fixable

The club i scout for, lost our director of football, manager (really good manager who had done great things with the club), chief scout (he left during the season) and we lost 2 of our best players last summer (lost another quality player in January)

Fans and media etc were predicting us to have a difficult season

Yet we got our managerial appointment right in the summer and this season we have guaranteed european football this season.

It shows that getting 1 appointment right is massive for a club - we can def do that this summer and from everything I've heard from contacts it seems like its going to be an exciting summer

Could see a loan LB coming in. Oli Bainbridge has been excellent for the unders as well

Good shout on Bainbridge. I wonder if he will be promoted to the first team squad next season?

Players I think will leave in the summer:-
    Clarke
    Neil
    Hume
    Matete
    Embleton
    Dack
    Taylor
    Burstow
    Mayenda (loan)

Players to come up from the youth team
    Watson
    Kelly

Players left I am happy with for the squad
    Patto
    Pembele
    Ballard
    Onien
    Alese
    Cirkin
    Rigg
    Jobe
    Adil
    Ba
    Ekwah
    Roberts
    Mundle

I fear we have a big rebuild to do. I just hope we do it early. Euros slap bang in the way. Plenty of players available this summer. We need to start with a couple of solid free transfers to give us better know how. Then we need to better use the loan market and pick up a couple at the end of the window. Money needs to be invested into the striker position where I think we need to buy 2 and the CM position. I would also seriously think about the centre half position. Somebody like Cooper from Millwall would be a coup.

I'd keep Embo, I think he offers something different and would fit a 4 3 3 line up.

I worry we will lose Neil, he's viral to how we set up and play, he will be expensive to replace.

Early signings is crucial to give them a full pre season with the new head coach and his team
