I dont think he has ever had it to lose it. I think he is too nice of a bloke to have a job at that level, does he inspire anyone, or is he able to give them a good bollocking which makes them think, christ, I dont want to upset him again? just too nice a bloke in the wrong job
I don't know. I think it takes some minerals to not play him where it seems he'd be most effective for us.
Think you've explained dodds as U21 coach very well. Circumstances have seen him promoted above his station, needs to get back to what he does best.
Sign Amad permanently, and no I haven’t been drinking ! He’s young probably available and has a high resale value. Everything the club have told us they are looking for. What do people think we could get him for ? I reckon 10 million might get him with a sell on clause
No chance. United won't take a 20million+ loss on a player who's still young and could theoretically still reach his potential. More than likely they have a new manager in the summer also so he'll have another chance to impress, then probably another loan.
****ing hell man....they paid £40m for him from Inter, and,ok,he hasn't been in the starting line up,but every time he's appeared he's impressed. We know him,the lad's a special talent, but,he's way out of our budget by a country mile.
£37m from Atalanta but aye, I agree with you. He’ll be going for a lot more than £10m - if he leaves permanently.
19m with a possible maximum add ons fee totalling 37m. So far he won’t have cost much more than the initial fee and isn’t part of their plans. I think they would have to take a decent loss at this stage if they sold but still 15m plus.
They paid 19 million with add ons, he’s barely played for them. I don’t think he’s out of our reach personally, he hasn’t done anything of note for Man Utd, if anything he’s stagnated there. He’s not the level of player they need to sort their team out, they need a much higher level of player all over the park.
£10m for a single player is well out of our reach at the minute (though I think he'd cost £15-20m personally. But even if Clarke left and we stumped up that kind of money, he's on £30k a week at Man Utd which is double our highest paid player at the minute.
Caught bits of the cov hull game and Liam delap looks a right handful, doesn’t have the best goal return but think he’ll be one that adds that as he gets older, would 100% take him here
I thought he looked good when he played against us for Stoke. There's definitely something about him, he could hit 15 goals in this league next season imo.
Was running us ragged for Preston end of last season too until we took over second half, he has all the attributes needed at this level wonder if he’s one that needs to move permanently to find his feet properly, similar to Clarke
I've been banging this drum for a while. He's what we need I reckon. Fits the criteria for the club's management, however I reckon he'll be back at Hull on loan. I'd love us to do a deal for him, he'd cost a bomb but we could sort it.
