Another team being punished for financial reasons.

Will start on -2 next season if they are relegated to the championship.
Ouch, getting silly now I think there will be very little spending this summer in this division, could suit us if we get good fees in

Leeds' finances came out yesterday, they owe about £190million in unpaid transfer fees, of which £73million is due this year. They can sell players and are due a bit of money but surely that's not right?

Jesus, I genuinely have no idea how they work it all out, glad we run a fairly right ship these days though hope it helps us leapfrog some teams in the not too distant future

Anyone else think they just spin a wheel to work out what points deduction a club will have, followed by another to say what it will be reduced by in a few weeks?

(And then there is the bonus award which Man City landed on)

What I don’t get is how come Everton points deduction is this season but Sheff Utd is next season? They literally make it up as they see fit.

I think it's the daft rule that the punishment can only be applied in the league they where in when the accounts / rules where broken

That's my concern the punishments aren't severe enough. 2 points with parachute payments is a pointless punishment

They should reduce the parachute payments in that case, they broke the rules to get there in the first place and will now have a massive advantage over the rest of the league directly from that.

But that’s way too sensible for the authorities to even consider.

Itll get to the point where the selected few may spead. saying that, in the long run, a points deduction now may be beneficial down the line as a deterrent now rather then a genuine mess in 3 or 4 years time with clubs on the brink because no-one pulled them early on.
