Two points is no kind of punishment at all, especially over a 46 game season. How is this a deterrent?
No chance they'll make £190m anytime in the next 5 years and I doubt they'd find £73m worth of buyers for their current squad. Sommerville, Archie Gray and Ampadu will raise them close to £50m, the rest I doubt would get them over 7 figures.
Nail firmly on the head. If they cheated and got promotion, all rewards associated with that promotion should be withdrawn. Give them back 2 points but put all parachute money into a equity fund for lower league clubs. Problem goes away.
