You would get out at intervals and have a shower but I think it was warm. You would also drink beer at intervals. They had No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 based on the beer's strength. There was no No. 3!

In Finland, in an attempt to not get too drunk they would have a beer and next they would have a litre of water before another beer.
A bit like the Russians but between beers they would drink another beer.
I'm not a fan of water on it's own, so I would have diluted it with whiskey.

I've been to Finland many times and been in many saunas (private, public, hotels). Probably 100+ times. And I can tell you that is definitely NOT what they do!

Anyway, the point still stands. Whether it's sauna's or pubs, the Finns do NOT "... have a beer and next they would have a litre of water before another beer".

I agree I didnt mention pubs but that is where most people drink
obviously when people are at home they dont need to drink water because they just go back into the sauna where they are not drinking beer
when you are in a pub you have less alternative options

How is drinking a litre of water every beer even possible on an evenings session - you'll spend the evening pissing and then die from water poisoning.
