I love his effort and he moves well but I’m not convinced he’s for this league. Not quick enough and nowt special enough. I can see how he’d look better in a slower more technical league but you need power here or be **** hot on the ball.

Twitter was talking out of its arse . Have to be honest i’d get rid but then I said under no circumstance sign Simms, who’s the current form striker in the division.
Weird one with Rusyn i think he has something but im not quite sure what, that being said id be lying if i said id be arsed if we sold him
In a strange way its probably about partnerships. If he was playing off another forward I think he'd look a different player. Perhaps next season, if we sell Clarke, he can play off the left.
Be good to give him a full pre season here and a fresh start I guess, agree about him playing wide I don’t think he’s an out and out striker
Hope he is here next season. The lad has a hell of a lot of talent, and the mentality to back it up. I was really excited to sign him and that hasnt changed. We have to remember with him where he came from. Ukraine is a war zone. He had to leave his family behind. Imagine having to do that. Then he has to learn a new language, culture and in his own words to step up to a higher standard of football. This season, for me, was always going to be one of settling in. Same with Pembele, another who has unreal talent, but was going to need an extended period before he was able to play. When I have watched Rusyn I have seen more of his attitude and mentality than his ability. By that I mean he puts himself about, all action, body on the line. Never shirks the physical challenge. That is a great platform as far as I am concerned. If he can be fully settled come pre season, and comfortable around the lads, I would bet we see his quality on the pitch next season when I suspect we will see a high intensity pressing game that will suit him. Fingers crosser anyway. There are some in the squad I could see moving out as it hasnt quite worked out for them here. But I hope Rusyn isnt one of them.
Oh I wouldn't be so sure. there will be people turning themselves inside out to make excuses for him. No service... Just needs a pre season... etc. etc Sorry but he will never be a footballer as long as I have got a hole in my arse. Dreadful.
Just goes to show that we have a lot of toxic fans on X Those replies and even the lad who does the highlight analysis videos. - sometimes I just hate twitter.
No mate, not really. He might need to improve the timing of his runs a bit, but I think he is sharp enough.
Just cannot see it personally. Would have to be on a free with low wages for me to consider it an option. He'd just be a warm body for training in the hope he develops but as he is, he's just not up to the standard required. If he was one of the bigger signings we made this summer I would be ready for the back of Speakman/the recruitment team.
If we’re insisting on sticking with youth upfront we should be going all out for Jay Stansfield on a permanent deal he’s done wonders at a dreadful Birmingham this season, I know he turned us down to stay closer to family but definitely one worth revisiting
Scousers and others looking at Patterson https://www.thisisanfield.com/2024/...o-1-goalkeeper-with-opening-likely-in-summer/
Don't understand why they would buy a reasonably young and overpriced back up when their main keeper should have several years in him. Sounds odd to me.
I can’t see this being true personally. Maybe I’m wrong. I’d happily take 10 million for Patterson. He’s a canny keeper but I’d be livid if we spent that money on him.
I'd take 15. But I'm greedy. I'm excited to see what the young keeper coming through our ranks can do in another 12 months on loan. Supposedly very highly rated and it maybe sounds like Patterson might be plateauing.
