is that his ability though? the best players are consistent every player is capable of a world class performance what i mean is, he has talent, but will it ever be consistent enough to be a prem player?
I really wasn't a Coyle fan to begin with but the last 18 months he's fantastic. He looked really good tonight at CB, dealt with everything well defensively, positionally was good, looked good on the ball (not something I'd usually say) and loved how he drove forward and supported attacks too.
There was a group near us, every time we had the ball they shouted “Allsops free”, “pass to Allsop” It was funny at first but it’s getting to be the way we play
mate, we are used to this the problem is we just dont create enough chances and dont score we are used to bossing possession
I was hoping so but my instincts, along with what others have corroborated, tell me he’ll push for a move in the summer. Howden, M88 and Steven Toast will know more than me about stuff behind the scenes and I don’t claim to be ITK but I do know people who work or have worked recently for the club and they give me tidbits of info occasionally. Recently, they said a few players have gone over Rosenior’s head about their dissatisfaction with the coaching and way we’ve played and dropped points this season. As much as Rosenior is a likeable guy and good man-manager, the players are still professionals who have their own expectations for the club and their careers. I’m sure many of us have had likeable bosses or managers but we’ve questioned their decisions and competency in their role. From what I can tell, it’s not mutiny just yet but they’re disgruntled and have concerns. They had concerns about Rosenior even in pre-season.
Wind you neck in. Your the most judgemental poster on here. Philogene has all the talent in the world, no disputing that, but over the last two games he had been a disapointment when everyone was hoping he would be our star man. For the record, Tom Eaves was the next Andy Carroll, once, after a game against Rotherham.
thats the thing management in and of itself is a complicated matter, everyone here has had a manager they liked or didnt like its not different in football when you have a squad of 20-30 players, thats 30 diff personalities and mentalities its why bruce had the success he did, managing so many players, he was a master at man management management is a tough tough position, and i dont envy any of them, apart from the sacking fees
Lot of talk about the absence of a decent striker and rightly so, but I think our goal today was a good example of what we can do more often to score. Morton's incisive run caused a problem and Carvalho whilst not a natural striker is good enough to finish like one in that scenario. It's the Morton driving run that we don't do enough of. Leeds did similar and hurt us more than we hurt them as a result, despite having less chances to attack than we did. Don't really get why we can't do more of that.
Would like to know what Leeds paid for Summerville. Same age as Jaden, though 2 inches shorter so some of our fans might not want him, he has always impressed me when I have seen him. Philogene would not have skinned our defence like Summerville did to get that penalty.
Lewie is a much improved player. Maybe that's down to the coaching he's received over the last couple of years.
Honestly you’re going to die on such a foolish hill, I’ve you’ve seen that and defending that decision you’re an absolute clown with a serious rose tinted agenda.
FACT.. if Jaden is off in the summer its for the long term good of the club. They will find another maybe even one as precocious as some other clubs seem to have a knack of doing and I'd wager the club are resigned and expecting him to go and working to that end. Even with what 7 to go I've enjoyed seeing him in a City short even if he's not been at it of late and we should just enjoy him whilst he's here.
Waiting to hear the usual #roseniorout bullshit, we dominated, we played really well, we didn’t deserve to lose, blah blah ****ing blah, will the interviewer ask why he took our best player in Tufan off?
again, thats the thing and that came from philo taking a shot, it was blocked morton took the ball and carried it, and as you said we dont do it enough we had 3 or 4 players inside the penalty area but it was carvalhos run that beat his defender and scored we just simply dont take enough risks with the ball and i think its because rosie is inexperienced if i imagine myself as manager, its easy to imagine it,but when your every decision has ramifications, its difficult and thats where the experience comes in i can say bring connolly on, rosie maybe thought the same, but his actions have real results, again its experience, management is ****ing hard in general
