ARF. Brain freeze. Obviously meant to type they don’t play in white . I refer you to the original post by Edelman saying 3 in our group play in white which I was replying to.
Watching the sky games this afternoon with my wife's family. Boring old fart in her family points out that there's no female pundit, and sarcastically says that can't be acceptable. Then starts going on about the women's rugby he watched yesterday which had an all-female panel, and moaned that you wouldn't be allowed to have an all-male panel these days would you, cos you get locked up for being male and white these days don't you. These days. Enjoyed pointing out to him that an all-male panel was precisely the thing that had started him off on this nonsense only a few seconds earlier, which he'd clearly forgotten in his excitement to go off on one. Made me think of this thread for some reason.
Such is life, much like people on here complaining endlessly about Sky moving games to ridiculous times for away fans, yet still enriching Sky's profits. For clarification, Sky have never had a penny of my money. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
All male panel for a men’s game and an all women one for a woman’s game sounds eminently sensible. Though a boring young fart in the family thinks there should have been a woman involved in the men’s game. Might have been all females for the women’s rugby but there were women involved for every one of the men’s Six Nations. Funny old world.
Food job they haven’t actually got a 44 in the squad or some would be having a meltdown. Unfortunate choice of font for the number 4. Apparently there are quite a lot choosing to have 44 put on their shirt.
I don't think it's actually possible to have a number 44 in international football, for what that's worth.
Which is why I put it is a good (with a typo) job they haven’t got a 44 in the squad. But you can bet plenty will buy the shirt and have 44 put on it.
Weather or not the 44 on that shirt is offensive or not depends on the context, Shirley? And why is there 4 stars on the German shirt. There's no stars on the German flag and it's not as if stars could symbolise anything significant for the team, is it? Oh, wait...
If we’re talking about football pundits I’d just like to say that I’d rather listen to my Mrs and her mates take on a game over Jamie Carragher’s. The bloke is, quite possibly, the biggest **** on the planet and definitely the worst co commentator/ pundit on earth. I despise everything about him. His overly excitable, squeaky pitch grates beyond belief. How he’s still employed after gobbing at a young lass is un fathomable. Give me Gill Scott over that clown shoe any day of the week.
Well, yes. According to the Met whether someone at a pro Palestine rally waving a swastika about was offensive or intimidating to a Jewish woman is a matter of context. Anyone waving a swastika about at a City match, or any other football match, would have it removed sharpish with no discussions about context. After all the Hull City You Can’t Colour Us In was soon removed by police on the grounds of racism with no conversations about context.
I am lucky. My wife loves football and I can have a more intelligent conversation about football with her than you can with many on here.
