This generations Bally, lives and breathes the club I hope he stays for the rest of his career and beyond
Great comparison mate. He is so important to us I think. I honestly think he is getting better as a player as well, all the time. I would be more than happy if he is at the heart of our defence start of next season.
He’s criminally underrated for me, I’d be over the moon if him and Ballard are our starting centre half’s in August
Just what we need on Monday ... ... show the parents, of these kids, just how much we care about them and understand how hard they're trying. The better we look the easier it will be to attract more like them.
Don't think he'll go anywhere, he wants promoted with his team, gonna have next year out of him here as he has plenty of time ahead of him to make it to the pl
I bumped into him once at Boldon Asda not long after he signed he is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met
I once bumped into Torre Andre Flo in Sainsbury's Washington. And Hoolio too. No meaning to what I'm saying but it just reminded me.
I saw will Grigg in the wessignton way Sainsburys, turned around and went the opposite way to avoid the useless ****er
And the fact so many of our fans right them off as **** because they didn't hit the ground running, were young and inexperienced. Fact is in 2 years time when they are older an more experienced they will be worth transfer fees that we couldn't afford but they will be ours. Just like £20 million rated Jack Clarke that is ours yet we couldn't afford to buy him now
Barry Venisons wifes dad ran my local for years. My Dad was best mates. I was a bairn, but be used to come down our house and kick a ball about with me. Canny lad Barry my dad says.
****e, easy to put clips together to make someone look good! Nothing to see here premier league scouts, don't be fooled and **** off and look at someone else please!
Yep, absolutely, flash in the pan, wouldn't do it on a consistent basis in the Premier league, much better to leave him playing for little old Sunderland
Good to see some positivity about the place. I maintain the season, while miserable, hasn't been a disaster for the club (if we hire a decent coach and handle the transfer window ok) People are using our squad's age as a stick to beat us with. But this season has seen a lot of young lads get minutes in their legs... Experience. Bit by bit.
I was once on the dance floor with Barry Venison, I ran rings round him . Bigger thrill was stood in front of Gary the window cleaner out of Corrie in Marks and Sparks checkout , beat that star gazers
Hardly had any spare time since the match so my contribution is a little late but… Brilliant day out with a couple of thousand like minded, happy, noisy, no, extremely noisy friends! Despite everyone getting a soaking before the game it didn’t dampen the atmosphere or the volume. I thought the lads played well from the start and I believe that shocked the Cardiff side and knocked their confidence from the off. They were poor but I believe we made them look poor. It was great to see fast forward passing from everyone and for the first time in a while they looked like they were playing for the fun of it, enjoying themselves and enjoying the relentless support from the red and white army. The talk before the game was a little subdued, along the lines of ‘hope we can get something out of the game’. But once in the ground it was much more positive as the lads were on it from the start. Big praise for the whole team but got to mention Jobe who put in a mighty shift and was clearly enjoying it and as well as taking the applause from the fans, gave it back as well. I’ve said it before, we have some amazing talent which is still developing in our squad, if we can hold it together we’ll be a force to be reckoned with in the future. We all left the ground in high spirits and despite the torrential downpour just after the game, they weren’t dampened. Always love away games, whatever the result the support is, as Billy Elliot said, “Like ELECTRIC”. HTL
His real name is Ian Mercer, he lives in Bothal just outside of Morpeth, I see him in the local co-op about once a week
