Can you name your info man???.I was talking to a mate yesterday, about the financial issues at Sunderland and whether he thinks we can be sustainable.
He doesn't think we currently are but are on the right road.
He also mentioned ipswich who are doing things completely differently but won't be able to sustain it if they fail to go up. Now Leeds have gone top I think they're in the play-offs.
Apparently they're spending twice what they earn which will come back to bite them on their arse.
If they're still in the Championship, next season, they'll have to spend again because players on L1 wages will want increases and any new signings will have to be paid more. In my opinion they'll also have 'second season syndrome' and won't perform as well. We've had that, to an extent, and we need the boost of a new manager although we'll obviously have to sign some players.
Hopefully we'll be able to pay for all that with player sales and get into the play-offs. Whatever happens there's no threat of sanctions and no financial problems.
Just asking for a friend, who would like to chat to him, see where he got his info from, that's all.
