Looking at how many clubs are in financial strife, or getting points deductions/transfer embargos I'm glad our owner is playing it like he is. You never know, those who keep their powder dry for a couple of seasons might just be able to take advantage of those clubs gambling their futures on instant promotion

I remember when Wigan supporters used to love coming on here lecturing us about how they were debt free ...

... funny, I've not seen any on here for a while <laugh>

Accounts show largest ever loss in Wigan Athletic's history
Wigan Athletic chairman Ben Goodburn insists 'lessons must be learnt' after the latest accounts showed a loss of £17.5million - the largest in the club's history.

I mentioned this a week or so ago, that the club might be getting a huge head start ahead of the 25/26 full on rules and it could be a master stroke as an awful lot of clubs are going to struggle.

The only down side is for it to come off really in our favour is that we have to believe the efl and epl really sanction those that break the rules

But they're points deductions nonetheless ...

... Forest have only won 6 games all season, and none of the last 4, so it could easily cost them their PL place.

So yes, I believe clubs will be sanctioned, the proof is there.

It's not a question of faith, I can only comment on the sanctions they've made, not what they might do in the future.

I can't say I trust the EFL or PL.

Whatever the case I wouldn't want Sunderland to risk sanctions by breaking financial rules, would you?

I think I've been very clear on my views on that and how important the PSR rules are to all clubs and us sticking to them

I'm not a frequent purchaser of football shirts, but that home shirt is a beauty and if the away one is how I'm imagining it (the green pattern on the 92 shirt going down the shirt splitting the blue and white), then it will be an instant classic.

Agree. If they are accurate then I'll be getting both of them for the bairn. Especially with the ship badge on the away top. Were the shorts blue for that away top or were they the green? I can't remember (I was only 10 when it was out originally <laugh>)

Edit, blue shorts. Always reminds me of Byrne that top. Scored in every round then......

Yet previously when people have mentioned off the field income you have derided them?

Despite the clear facts that every penny counts. Don't really fancy yet another argument, but your relentless positivity and previous attempts to deride those that mentioned the importance of off the field money, yet here you are a champion of sustainability

Show me where I've ever derided anyone about off the field money.

You keep looking for arguments then saying you don't want an argument ...

... seriously man, just get off my back, stop picking up one everything I say and give it a rest.

I think you keep looking for an argument, provoking one then playing the poor victim.

You're always on about how people are attacking you.
