It was this tweet I'd seen (actually yesterday rather than a few days ago):

You must log in or register to see media

Reading it back now I realise their emoji use has confused me.

I know they're probably supposed to add emphasis to text, but I always find it detracts from the message. Like it's dumbed down. Y'know, for nitwits.

I recognise I'm in the minority though.

Fair enough, I think it's just for cut through and context appropriate on social media.

Does the "don't miss it" mean make sure you saw the "soon" emoji thingy?!! :emoticon-0112-wonde

Easily done if just giving your SM a quick scan on the phone. Poor design imo.

A week tomorrow. A tad early, but a nailed on 5 in a row from this jury....
Draw 1-1....
Will 5 in a row be a record? Or at least close to it...

Pandur, McLoughlin, Tufan, Docherty, Traore, Sharp, Furlong, Jacob, Christie, Sellars-Fleming, Connolly. Subs: Allsop, Ingram, Coyle, Giles, Greaves, Fleming, Slater, R Coyle, Green, Carvalho, Zarour

I'm starting to find it almost fascinating. 80% of the season has gone and we've largely had the same issue throughout it: scoring goals, turning dominant draws into wins. Everyone knows the issue we have, we've recruited better attackers and tried different shapes but it still persists.

Nine games remain and the task is clear: if we can start scoring the goals we should do then we should make the playoffs; if we don't then we definitely won't make them. No more international breaks, 9 games in 5 weeks, starting with exactly the kind of game we should win but so often haven't. The team will have had this Turkey camp together, to give them all the best possible prep and ensure everyone is ready and switched onto what needs to be done. Just a question of whether they do it now. I think the Stoke game might tell us which way it's going to go.

Anyone who has come here and given it a go as come away with at least a point..Only those who folded early haven't eg...Sheff Wed, Preston, H'field, Rotherham, Cardiff. Those who have pressed us and confined play to the middle third have succeeded in getting something. I don't see a change coming any time soon. Our last home win was 3/2/24 vs Millwall. Of the four home games left :

29/03/2024 Stoke
10/04/2024 Middlesbrough
13/04/2024 QPR
27/04/2024 Ipswich
....we'll need 3 wins and a draw 10 points. I don't see that happening. More like 6pts.....Whereas of the final 5 away :

01/04/2024 Leeds
06/04/2024 Cardiff
20/04/2024 Watford
23/04/2024 Coventry
04/05/2024 Plymouth

I can see (hope for) 10 points.. Which would be a total of 74 points. With a worse GD than Norwich, we'd need snookers.

We have 58 points already, we need 16 to get to 74, not 20. I still reckon 75 would seal 6th, I don't see Norwich continuing to setting their current form.

I'm not sure it's as clear cut as that. Wednesday didn't particularly sit back, but got hammered. Huddersfield did sit back and it almost worked for them, but for an injury time winner. Millwall similar. Birmingham sat back and got a point with a late goal of their own. Ultimately, there've been too few home wins regardless of play style.
