I can't see anyone that's behaved like they're spoilt. There's an argument that Speakman might be a bit too arrogant.

I'm just struggling to understand the hate for KLD. It's like and night and day compared to Donald and Methven. Granted, not everything has been perfect but its a lot better than it was. People want KLD gone? Do they not think about the alternatives? There's a very real danger we could end up with someone like the blokes at Reading and Wednesday.

People hated Billy Beane too. I think it's just a fear of trying to do things a bit something differently.

I think you're right.

I've wanted the club to try something different for a long time. But, when you think about it, it's not that different. It's all been done before, in other places.

Problem is that there are going to be horrendous growing pains and trying to get the fans on board won't be easy.

Every bad run of results and it will be why didn't we sign that steady pair of hands/feet that was available in the window (for a fortune) or sack this guys, that guy, every ****ing guy.

Hopefully he turns it around. I think the prospect of being a club with a clever MO sounds pretty damn cool.

I think the financial rules have made that something different hard for fans to adjust to ie it needs patience. You need to be smart to get around the rules and that leaves a small margin for error.

This is all true.
I think it sounds cool too. Maybe that's the football hipster in me but I also think that it's the only way success is going to come our way.

We sell big in the summer, fund some quality experience and get promoted, this will all be forgotten.

If when he bought us he said I'll get you up in the first season, we'll have 2 or 3 boring seasons in the championship, then we'll go up and stay up, we'd have taken that. We got lucky last season getting amad.

All that being said, we need a shake up behind the scenes without a doubt. The non playing side needs a massive shake up and KS must appoint a strong minded coach with experience, or he should go.

Just my view

I dont know how long you have been away, but that wasnt just a mistake, for someone who pretends to be a football man it was a huge miscalculation, does he take us all for fools, well it certainly looks like it, spoilt little rich boy

You've no idea whether he's spoilt or not...you don't know him. You're just making unsubstantiated assumptions.
I can think of a couple of people I've come across on my travels who came from very wealthy backgrounds who weren't in the least bit spoilt...quite the reverse in fact..their families made things hard for them. Similarly,I can think of a few who came from ordinary family, who were spoilt to death and couldn't hack anything when they didn't get what they wanted.

There's a lot of people out there with broad shoulders and very narrow minds, they don't really see the world other than through silly generalisations.

There's been a rapid rise of 'self entitlement' in the last few years, not just at Sunderland but in general.

People pay to go to a football match, like any other form of entertainment, but believe they're entitled to demand statements on every subject, the removal of someone who's invested millions, sackings of anyone who's annoyed them, etc etc etc. I've absolutely no problem with criticism, frustration or even anger but some of this current hysteria is based on little but fanzine gossip and misinformation. Anything positive is immediately shrugged off as the opinion of gullible rose tinted happy clappers whereas any negative rumours are seized upon as genuine on the 'no smoke without fire' basis.

Blind faith is ridiculed, perhaps justly ... blind prejudice is much worse imo.

He spent 18 months living in Leeds when he could've been Instagramming on a yacht, so I'm in two minds about that.

There is a chance he is crackers mind.

Growing up around your dad's football club hanging out with coaches and players like they're your mates would've been mind blowing. His dad was known for spending big, so they would've been very nice to him.

Seems like he's trying to get some of that back in his life, being rich has enabled him to give it a go and good luck to him.

Looking back he did very well in League One, and I really want him to get everything 100% right, if not for completely selfish reasons.

He couldnt figure out bending over for the mags was a mistake?
No one knows exactly what happened. Did he bend over for the Mags?
In reality, what happened? No one died. Its unlikely that it had any effect on the result of the game. Granted, some Mags wet their pants with excitement. Some people with fragile egos got a bit upset. The club rinsed some Mags for a ridiculous sum just to sit in a bar. So what?

It was just a mistake if you are referring to the BCB, which was corrected
