Define native prehab. I left in 75 which is probably long before you were born.

Does that make me less of a supporter as i'm not in the area? 50 years of snippets in the press, finding anything to hear the news, spending the equivalent and more of a season ticket on merchandise each year.

Get your ****ing blinkers off mate as there are more expat fans than those that live in Sunderland, thats a fact
More Sunderland fans moved away than there are locally?

Every club but three will feel that though ...

... and three will be relegated.

Stoke, Blackburn and Birmingham both made lots of noise about progress, appointed well know managers and signed new players.

All three are in a relegation fight, that's definitely a wasted season.

And what the hell has that got to do with Sunderland?

I'd say it's absolutely absolutely certain and they'll win a cup in the next few years ...

... whatever the case they're at a point now we may never reach.

I think they're the very late arrivals at the billionaire's party. When Man City got their 'blow everyone out of the water' money there were only two or three teams could even try to compete with them for several years. Now there's six or seven for Newcastle to compete with and they're already years behind. Teams with money and a more attractive history.

You're quite correct

However the Saudis are used to finding ways around rules ...

... remember they used debts and favours owed by Boris Johnson to force the sale through in the first place.

And they're now, from being a regular relegation fighting outfit, a club with, already, a CL campaign and a major Cup Final.

I was told, by someone on Ashley's legal team, to forget any notion of rivalry.

At the recent derby I felt like 100 years of history had been thrown away.

Has there been any names linked with the job, or are we just waiting till the end of the season? Whoever it is needs to be be allowed to bring in a few of his coaching staff or we’ll just be in the same point next year.

It was far from perfect.

When it's directly leading lots of lifelong supporters thinking of jacking it in for a while I'd say it was an absolute shambles and the people who made those decisions shouldn't be in such lofty positions at a prestigious football club.
Anyone turning their back of the club cos of the Mags game is not right in head. And if we were winning, playing well and had a competent and vibrant manager nobody would give a **** about it.

Short term fix?

If I was forced to make a guess I'd say ...

... we're interviewing available people now, asking other clubs for permission to talk to employed managers and speaking to possible advisors, like Roy Keane, who might recommend suitable managers. There's no chance Dodds will be given the job or would be moved on.

Negotiations are complicated and can't be done in a few short weeks unless you're absolutely desperate ...

... thankfully, we're not.

Hope not. If we want advice on the next appointment why not talk to someone who's had success this decade? I'd be so against this.

He'd be able to advise on Rooney, OGS, etc and act as a go-between ...

... not saying it's him though.
Like I said, if we want advice we need to get advice from people who actually know what it takes to win in modern football.

Is this anywhere near truthful does anyone know? Alarm bells...
Nothing on companies house, which is where it will have to be registered.

That's not to say it isn't going to or has happened in the past day or so

I wouldnt take advice from someone like him in a million years frankly. I would like to think if they want advice they go to folk much more clued up. If bridges arent burned Mowbray would be a brilliant sounding board.
