I'm not so sure they will challenge the top 4
, it seems to me the FA, PL and EFL are starting to finally get some teeth and are upholding the sustainability rules.

They have the richest owners in the world but its essentially pointless as their income isn't big enough. Even the sponsorship deals can and will be scrutinised.

They will have to sell one or 2 of their better players to help comply with the rules and if they miss out in European football qualification this season their income only goes down.

I'd say it's absolutely absolutely certain and they'll win a cup in the next few years ...

... whatever the case they're at a point now we may never reach.

The guys I work with and play golf with over here who are football fans.. are of the same opinion. They cannot understand why sack someone and don’t have a back up plan. They all seem to agree we have some serious talented players who are being destroyed by the uncertainty made by directors… they watch Sunderland because of me and their take on our current mess is interesting but pretty much unanimous

We don't just need a new head coach imo if we are to kick on upwards.

We need a new structure and Speakman, Dodds and Proctor should not be part of it at 1st team level.

I would definitely be thinking of going for solskjaer or Robins in the new set up.
Dodds is part of the problem, too friendly with the players and goes on like he’s one of their mates.

These young lads need coaches and head coaches who are more tactically aware. There’s no point in getting rid of Mowbray (who does have some naive moments tactically) and appoint Beale then Dodds who are worse managers/head coaches.

Whoever we bring in we need to allow them to bring in their own back room staff and not force Dodds and Proctor on them. Whether that be Still, Cooper or Solskjaer.

That was it in a nutshell, when they sacked Mowbray they had no plan, BCB and Beale, could they have done anything worse?

Again, not so sure.

All fans have to hope the FA, PL and EFL really enforce the rules and it will make state owned / multi multi billionaires pointless.

If its enforced properly then apart from the existing big 6, the rest will have as much chance as anyone else.

Can you imagine working at SAFC, and at a meeting someone suggests Beale who has just dissenchantised one of the largest fan bases in Scotland, then giving half of the home end to The Skunks? who was actually there that understands the club?

I know. It's all self inflicted by clowns who don't get the club and are in positions way above their capabilities. It's really concerning how quickly we are regressing while appearing totally rudderless.

Apologies I used the date not games played:emoticon-0140-rofl:
We are worse than last season I think thats a fact, I just don't understand some comments that are being made.
I also think had we had Diallo this season, like last we would definitely been higher up the table, there have been loads of games were we've had all the possession and come away with nothing, those were the games last season where his quality in a split second can change a game.
Yes the flowing attacking football hasn't been anywhere as good, but had we still been around the play off spots I'm sure there would be a lot less negativity around at the minute

The narratives are part of the tapestry of football which makes it so fascinating. Our minds need to find reason in what we're seeing, even if we need to invent it.

People will obviously talk about the experience levels, but if we'd been as effective in the loan market as last year with Amad and Simms (even Michut and Joffy to an extent), there's every chance we'd be in a similar position to last year and other narratives wouldn't be required.

I normally come on here for dome balanced opinions but to be honest reading through some of the absolute ****e being spouted by some supporters makes me wonder where their heads are.
The I am not going back because I could not sit in my seat brigade or the BCB brigade. FFS can they not remember queuing outside of a freezing wet Roker Park hoping to find a a good spot on the terraces to show their team support and now they want to whinge and scream at the slightest perceived injustice.
Please for ****s sake grow up and get a bit of perspective.

I think people are just frustrated at the season being wasted

Every club but three will feel that though ...

... and three will be relegated.

Stoke, Blackburn and Birmingham both made lots of noise about progress, appointed well know managers and signed new players.

All three are in a relegation fight, that's definitely a wasted season.
