You can say the same for players too.

Would Kieffer Moore have made a difference to us this season? Probably.

Would he have wanted to move to the NE? Who knows, but perhaps not. If he didn't want to, that's not the club's fault.

It's no good paying over the odds to get anyone who doesn't really want to come. We've been down that road before.

Would he have had the same impact as he's had at Ipswich if he was up here living out of a suitcase is another consideration.

Managerial changes mid season should be treated as the unexpected events that they are. Yes, ideally we'd hang on til the summer but events on the pitch are making the case for looking now. If the man we want is available then we should be weighing the costs and benefits of getting him in now.

What we don't want is a months long saga starting at the end of the season and running into pre-season preparations.

You certainly don't want it dragging on in to pre-season. I think you have to hope that the club is drawing, or already has drawn, up a short list of who they want and are putting things in place when to make an approach when the right man becomes available. The fact that they've announced Dodds until the end of the season suggests that the man they want is currently employed. The rumour mill might suggest that its Still, in that case.

If that was the case the club should have stated that

Why? No other clubs state why they haven't signed people. If someone chooses not to move somewhere, surely it's their business why they don't want to.

Why wouldnt they do it? Its good for the club to point out why they tried and it didnt happen, they didnt even have to name him

It'll be a massive "wait and see" who we get as the next Manger/Coach. Because 99 times out of 100, its never who people want, think or predict who it eventually ends up being. Thus tantrums and huffs thrown.
Agree, but if the arrogant ginger piss biscuit gets the gig, he'll get my full support through thick and thin. It's not for us fans to call the shots on who should be employed or sacked.

Unfortunately this, the way they have delt with recent events, it wouldn't matter what the club said, some people would just wack them with it.

Probably, but until they start trying to put it right it will always be wrong. They just say nothing, maybe they havn't employed anyone in that department
