People on here saying the head coach should make all the decisions then they slag off who they pick and imply they know better. Beggars belief. Arrogant gobshite.
I’m not going to say Speakman is all bad because we are in a better league position, financial position and our overall structure of the club is miles better. First team matters are regressing though - some through his failed relationships and some through misjudging players. We need another significant view and influence on first team matters - maybe another conference or committee ironically where Speakman has to share the sign off - and provides another perspective for the board to consider.

Watching PSG v Reims, 2-2 at HT, and Reims play some really good stuff. Play with a lot of width and constantly look for the striker in behind. Quite aggressive pressing also. Defending very questionable though.

Second half just starting now on TNT Sport 1.
Finished 2-2. Based on that performance, specifically the defensive performance of the second half especially after Mbappe came on, I am sold on Still.

My Manc mate is adamant we’ve spoken to him but I don’t know if this was recent.

Bob or Prehab might’ve heard summit if it’s true.
Asked a mate who might know if he has spoken to us, but not heard back yet. Think he has been out for the AJ fight and likely hanging around the region for a break knowing him.

I think Ole himself may be heading to a different country and possibly continent. He has spoke about wanting to be himself and not being told how to operate. I think he sees himself as someone who wants to create something at a club that is in his mould and will stick. He has a reputation for encouraging coaches to really challenge themselves and take responsibility. Lets see.

There's a rumour on social media claiming that OGS may be off to the states.

Would make sense that mate. I suspect he has something to offer after his spell at Man Utd. Came out with some credit and I have to say I wondered whether he wouldnt fancy another shot at an English gig, but good luck wherever he goes, canny fella.

Would getting a new man in now really help? These lads have had 3 coaches already and have to take in the new coaches ideas as well as all the 'normal' pre game stuff.

Their heads must be battered.

Let's get to the end of the season and re group

The only person we should get in now is the person that we start next season with. For me, its Cooper. But I have no idea who their eyes are on

Hard to know re: Beale but I can definitely say that the sacking of Mowbray now looks pretty ridiculous to everyone in the game.

FFS the downward spiral started with TM, who’s news conferences and post match interviews were becoming embarrassing.

The mistake was the appointment of MB - and KS was warned, but still went ahead.

It's Cooper for me too, but we've probably got a lot to do to persuade him to take up the challenge.

Can Speakman redeem himself and restore confidence?

We shall see....

I'd take Cooper, Still or OGS to be honest, but they all feel like they might be beyond us in terms of demands.

I'd also take Rohl if Sheff Wed go down or Kompany if he and Burnley part ways.

There's plenty of options in my opinion, but we have to find a one that aligns with our plan and then back them with what they need.

By that, I don't mean give them total control, but if they want a couple of their own backroom staff and a couple of key experienced players that don't break our wage structure, we should do it.

I don't think that will be a problem. If the club are looking at Still, for example, they'll know he'll want to bring his brother at the very least.

Warned by who?
There was a huge amount of fan unrest when MB was thought to be in the frame, before his appointment.

I could be wrong but I thought that was common knowledge.

I remember me being very vocal on this forum (and taking pelters for it) about MBs unsuitability (my opinion) before his appointment was confirmed.

I was not alone. It was all ower social media.
