One of the best things about a ground like Luton's is that it's so compact you can hear a lot of what the crowd is saying like that shout of "You ****ing cheat" aimed at Rashford.
Luton are playing some great stuff. But you can also see that they lack quality, because a decent PL team would have scored more than once.
Not too sure how Casemiro is still on the pitch. His legs have gone, whereas Maguire never had legs to start with.
If people who were too young to remember the Dell want to know what big games there were like. They were like this game at Luton.
Nope. It was just a foul. Was it reckless? No. Did it stop a promising attack? No. He just miscontrolled the ball and made a careless challenge. Free kick was sufficient.
Unless I am mistaken both today and yesterday a player has gone down and stayed down, waiting for the opponent to put the ball out of play or for the ref to stop the game, only to get up and carry on without treatment, once the game has been stopped. Teams don’t have to put the ball out, but tend to because……. Is it not time for refs to insist on these players receiving treatment so that they HAVE to go off instead of letting them carry on feigning injury to break up potential attacks?
I agree but I expect it is tricky to keep and eye on. And also some knocks probably do legitimately keep you down and then subside in the length of an attack
Just do what they do in rugby and allow the physio on during the game. Watch as players suddenly never ever need to lie down again…
Have only watched a little bit of Everton v Palace and its all hoof ball by both teams. Really appreciating Russ ball.
