Arsenal won 6-0 at West Ham, 5-0 at Burnley, now 4-0 up against Newcastle. Their GD continues to grow.

To be fair, if we don't make it up this year, I'd prefer the current bottom 3 with us next year than Everton, as funny as that may be.
Hadn't even thought about that. I was hoping Everton would go down on the off chance is really screwed them over and they were financially crippled. But the chances are they would just do a Leicester.

Only if their takeover goes through. I'm not sure they'd have the money to adequately replace the players they'd have to sell.

They wouldn't have to sell - they could, and knowing them probably would, just take the massive gamble of way overspending and bailing themselves out with premier league money when they get promoted. But if they took that route and didn't go back up, then administration would genuinely be possible.

If they were to go down, I could easily see Everton just copying Leicester, in the sense of selling a small handful of players for decent money (eg Pickford and Onana) but retaining the rest (excluding anyone out of contract). And then bringing in a couple of experienced (but not old) PL heads, to leave them with a squad that is easily capable of automatic promotion.

So yeah, whichever league we are in next season, I would like Everton to be in other one.
