Attwell really should have given that on the field. Awful refereeing. Oliver didn't even send him to the monitor!

If anyone wants to see an example of how VAR should work (and I'm particularly talking about the authorities themselves), then that was perfect. It was such an obvious overturn, that it took just seconds to recommend a review, and then just seconds for the referee to watch the replays.

No line drawings. No checking multiple angles. No looking at every tiny aspect of the lead-up. Just bang, overturn, done.

Oh did he go to the monitor? I must have missed that. What annoys me is that VAR seems to have stopped referees from showing red for serious foul play themselves. Quite worrying that Attwell didn't see that as a red live.

He probably did, but like offsides there’s no point in giving it live as it will be looked at anyway

Yeah, it really was that quick. Attwell got his yellow card out of his pocket, but he'd been sent to the monitor by Oliver before he even had the chance to waive it.

I feel sorry for Sheff Utd's fans because they didn't ask their club to bring in Holgate. But I have zero sympathy for the club, and Wilder in particular. Laughable that they would recruit him.

This is going to be another hammering for Sheffield United at home. They really are a waste of a PL spot.

Oh, now Wilder decides to bring on a CB to fill in for Holgate.

Horse and bolted come to mind.

I take that back. Just seen a replay, and he did waive the yellow.

But still, just 40 seconds between Holgate making the challenge and Attwell showing the red following the VAR review.

Had it been any other player, I would be thinking that they intentionally tried to hurt Mitoma. But Holgate is so bad, that he does the "ability" to accidentally get a challenge so horrendously wrong.

I sort of forgot that Tom Davies existed as a footballer.

Maybe it explains the haircut; using it to remind people about his existence.
