Can't buy that Col, there has to come a time in a Test match and series where you say to your players, we're gonna bat sensibly for a session and break the contest and probably the opposition too ! There are players that I don't mind seeing playing that way, like both openers and Bairstow but Root is a proper player and not suited for Bazball, he's throwing his wicket away needlessly every innings now. Stokes is a proper player too and can go through the gears in a few minutes when required, it's lunacy to play it 100% of the time. This series was here for the taking with the players they have missing and we've properly blown it this morning
