Poor Wood is going to be properly ****ed again after this Test. Bowled himself into the ground I'm their 1st innings and now has to come out again in those conditions without even a full day's rest. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes off injured at some stage. Better not let Root open the bowling !

I don't disagree and have always struggled with the concept.
However, they won't change and sometimes it comes off and sometimes it doesn't.
It's undeniably exciting to watch, but it will always disappoint at regular intervals.

Bazball is supposed to be playing without fear, not without a brain ! We'll lose more games away against India and Australia playing braindead cricket when the situation calls fir a change of tact. Test cricket is still a 5 day game, and we don't bat long enough to give our bowlers a rest. You have to versatile and be able to change up your tactics, the game and the series was there for us today but because of idiocy we've blown both !

All the initiative gained on Day 2 handed back to India in 3 hours......

Hope that isn't a prelude to this afternoon in Bristol.....

Wood not even out there, poor ****er. Probably too pissed off with the batsmen and just couldn't be arsed to go out and break his back again. Saying that Wood is 1 player who'd run through a brick wall for his team !

They won't change though.
 
Some awful bloody shots played after seeing highlights, Ducket /Root/Bairstow & Stokes & Foakes got themselves out, ball spinning quite a bit but not for our spinners, gonna be a struggle to save this test

Pivotal day of the series I reckon. Last time we toured there, we won tge 1st Test then lost the next 3 convincingly. I've got a bad feeling a repeat is on the cards , except there are 5 Tests this time round !
