I could not find any reference to this story until I goggled it.
It comes from the
Daily Telegraph;

Along with a heart-warming picture of a Police officer and some "unchecked criminals".
To put this story into some context;
The Government in its utter madness is
saving money by offering private Landlords 5 year paid up rental contracts to house the asylum seekers.
As housing them in rented accommodation is still a lot less expensive than even cheap hotel rates.
The Government is
not spending new money or building homes specifically for migrants, as might be inferred from the original post.
And linking this story to the UK's chronic housing shortage is, in my opinion, a laughable unintended irony from this staunch Tory supporting paper.
Whose fault is it that there are not enough
affordable homes for people to live in?
It wouldn't be 14 years of Conservative Government, would it?
14 years of failure to build
affordable social housing, while allowing private Landlords (including a considerable number of Conservative back benchers) to charge whatever they like for their rented homes.
I wonder whether any of the private landlords who accept these fully paid five year rental deals will be Tory back benchers, or wealthy chums of theirs.
I'm merging this thread with the 'migrant crisis' one.
No previous posts will be lost, they will simply appear in date order (when they were originally posted) in the merged thread.
