How many times in our history have we been 6th in the second tier or above going into new year? Whether you find it boring is your opinion. League placing is tangible. There aren't too many times in our history that we've been where we currently are or better, and all you lot can do is ****ing whine about it.
How many times have we been 7th in the second tier or above at this stage in the season in 120 years? Pray tell? I'd wager it's less than a dozen.
We were 4 points off 6th under McCann at Christmas the season we got relegated, were you saying at that time it was in our top 10 best seasons ever?
Shame on you, there'll be trouble I tell you!! Were the Nottingham Turkish Community in attendance like last week
Right, so how many times have we been at or above 7th in the second tier in feb (or even 6th on new years day if that's easier for you) in our history?
And yes, up until Xmas the McCann season probably would have been probably top 12 season if we hadn't nosedived like a lemming of a cliff and finished bottom . You think that's happening under Rosenior, do you?
When you add on the midfield stats there's probably less than 15% of the game worth watching which sounds about right.
Quite clearly I haven’t said that have I, or you too drunk to read things correctly? I just wonder how you work out best seasons ever.
Not wanting to defend McCann but we all know he was only half the story that season. If Rosenior had his only two decent players sold without adequate replacements, how would he have faired?
There was praise for the great performance against Cardiff, with hope it marked some sort of turning point in how we play. It didn't. There was praise for the against the odds win away at Sunderland. There was praise for the first 20 minutes against Millwall. Inspite of our league position there hasn't been that much to dish out praise for, in recent months other than odd flashes of individual brilliance from some talented players. As HT2 rightly says, no issue with praising Rosenior when it's deserved, just as there should be no issue calling out poor performances and boring slow disjointed predictable etc football
At this stage in the season when have we been higher in the league? I'm saying about 10 in our history. Yet all you can do is moan about it.
I'm not defending poor performances though, am I? I'm criticising preconceived bias and using every loss as an excuse for a pile on. But perspective dictates there's only really been 4 or 5 of them all season. Not that you'd know it from this place.
I don't think anyone would have got a tune out of that lot under those circumstances personally, except for maybe an old timer like a Warnock
Well 'someone' might have got a tune out of his younger players like 'someone' had to and got enough points to stay up in dire circumstances despite carrying a grannyshagger the club couldn't afford to sack at the same time. How many points would Derby have had again if they didn't get the points deduction and how many did we get that season? No, I don't think we'd have capitulated like under McCann under Rosenior after losing 2 wingers.
I never said you were!! You said there's 'a distinct absence of any praise". Your exact words. Obviously bollocks.
