Jack Coupland - ‘Well Tigers fans, I just want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who clapped for my dad Andy Coupland today. You truly gave my dad the send off he deserved. I think he was looking down over us today, and I know he’ll be proud of what he saw. Proud to call himself a Tiger. It gave me goosebumps seeing the stadium applaud and it’s a memory I will treasure forever. The boys did him proud too with that performance. The ‘city till I die’ chant just made it even more special.

While we're taking about specific refereeing decisions, I remember being totally baffled by an offside in the first couple of minutes. Ball went over the top, ended up being to no one but Tufan chased it from a deep position and forced the keeper to boot it into the stand. Somehow the linesman gave offside but I've no idea who against. It surely couldn't have been Tufan as he seemed to run from the middle of the pitch, nowhere near an offside position.
Not watched it but from middle of North Stand I literally didn’t hear Millwall sing once.
They obviously did because it was responded to with the excellent ‘one song, and it’s ****ing ****’ but they were really quiet I thought
they sprang into life in the second half and did the one note hum thing then i heard the Engerland chants which I presume were some kind of Neanderthal response to the Turkey flags in the north side East stand. There also appeared to be some kind of scuffle going on at one point, no idea what but I assumed they’d got bored with their teams performance and were creating their own entertainment.
Special mention for Lewie Coyle, what many of you may not have seen from the stands, he did a John Terry head first dive to block a cross from reaching the box with his face. Deserves MOTM just for that, even if Tufan did cover enough ground to have run all the way to Turkey in 90 minutes.

His name’s Kian and he had a seizure apparently, hopefully okay, but I’ve seen no update anywhere yet.
Tufan, my MOM yesterday, covered every blade of grass, some slick movement & play. Liked yesterday when he got barged off the ball at our South St end into the hoardings, he got nothing from the ref, but got up, dusted himself down (to coin a phrase!) went down the other end and gave it back at the Millwall player discretely, take that. Not that I condone violence! Ozan even using Rosie speak now in his post, “believe in the process!” UTT

Enjoyed a trip up from SW London both for the 1904 club podcast on Friday,where Tan Kesler was great, and also the game yesterday.
First time my 25 year old son has seen us at home this season - he observed, correctly I think, that while our style of play now brings a lot of appreciative applause, we don't create enough chances and pressure to really build up a lot of momentum in the crowd. I think people are generally patient with the passing around at the back now, and thought Mike White raising the issue of the crowd getting at Lewie for one pass back was a bit harsh on the crowd - we did go from front to back in about 10 seconds on that occasion!
I thought the substitutions policy yesterday nearly cost us. We were running out of energy and could have done with Doc on 20 mins earlier. They were pumping balls up in the last 10 mins and I thought Mcloughlin would have been useful (we really got exposed on that last attack) and Ohio seemed to run around like an over-enthusiastic puppy where surely Sharp would have brought some game management. But I must admit I thought yesterday had banana skin written over it after so much expectation, so very glad to get the win.

It’s an age-old argument on here, and I’m sure it is for other teams, that fans should sing or at least vocally support their team through thick and thin. But in reality fans are noisier and more supportive when things are going well on the pitch.
Obviously fans who’ve made a decent journey to support their team away are likely to be amongst the more vocal ones, but I think the absolute blitzkrieg they faced in the first 20 minutes or so would be enough to quieten most people down when it was looking like it could end up 5-nil.
Boro and Sland drew thats good for us if we win game in hand we go 5 clear of the Sland.
The first ten minutes (and the goal celebration especially) was loud yesterday. Loudest I’ve heard in ages.
Suspect that could have been built on if the team had too.
They'll have to do something with the pitch asap. With no grass down the centre the balls skids off the surface at pace, bounces high and is difficult to control. Its the leveller we don't need. The difference between us playing our silky stuff or struggling.
Which is why I said yesterday we are a better team away from home just on the pitch quality alone. Whoever sold that pitch to us want s hanging, its not just a one season thing either. Someone said earlier Tufan covered every blade of grass and he did, but not too difficult yesterday.
