Just when the standard joke against the 'Johnny-foreigner' within our football leagues, saying, 'Yes, but could he handle a cold wet windy night at Stoke'...?? One of the latest NFL games has just been played in minus -20 deg C...!!! Now that'll test yer...:emoticon-0101-sadsm :emoticon-0145-shake :emoticon-0127-lipss

Also, to show the cold in all it's glory, Kansas Head Coach Andy Reid's moustache has made the all the news after pictures of his top lip tash completely frozen...!!

You can keep your cold in Stoke, and I'll raise you Kansas City in January...!! :emoticon-0102-bigsm :emoticon-0102-bigsm :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I had tears in my eyes watching this - just a beautiful story and for all the cynicism and corporate greed surrounding premier league football it just made me appreciate that they took the time to make this poor guy so happy. Well done everyone involved.

BTW the YouTube title is German but the video is in English

What a fantastic victory for England’s cricketers in India. Looked totally unlikely for the first couple of days but Pope’s magnificent 196 turned the match on its head.

Its going to be an interesting final day of the 2nd test between India and England tomorrow. England chasing an unlikely 399 for victory have swashbuckled their way to 67-1 at the close of play today. If they can have a good session before lunch tomorrow it will make things very interesting indeed. Something to watch in "home office" tomorrow morning ;)

I can’t see them pulling it off but I wrote them off after the 1st innings in the 1st Test. A win in this test would be the greatest win since……last week

That good first session didn’t happen - 6 wickets down at lunch and only Ben Stokes can save us now ……

Still, to score 299 runs in the 4th innings shows some mind set, even if we all knew deep down that 400 runs would be impossible... Great effort...:emoticon-0137-clapp :emoticon-0137-clapp

I see Root is getting some stick: probably justified.

Great knock from Joe Root. Quite rightly discarded Bazball with England on the ropes and has dragged them right back into the match with a patiently crafted century.

India 174-6 - that century of Root’s is looking priceless now. Hopefully the tail won’t wag too much …..

Very sad to read that Stan Bowles has passed away.
As a kid playing football, there weren't many of us that didn't want to be pretend we were him.
    A great footballer and entertainer.

RIP Stan, and thanks for the memories

Frustrating that England couldn’t close out India’s innings quickly and allowed them to get to 307. Feels like a let off.

Magical days at Loftus Road. We lost Rodney Marsh but gained Stan Bowles as his replacement. We were blessed.

Bowles mystified defences, dancing past defenders as if they were trees. He could be so funny. When QPR played Sunderland in their first game after they had won the FA Cup Bowles took a bet that he'd knock the cup over, as Sunderland had it displayed on a table near the half-way line.

QPR should have won the 1st Division Championship of '75/76.They were easily the best side in the country. Those who saw them then will never forget how football can be the most entertaining of games..

I havn't quite sussed out if this Baz Ball thing of us attacking at all costs despite being in serious do-do is a calculated risk that in the past has brought huge success and works...?? Or that this crazy kamikaze batting it is covering up the fact that we really are a poor Test Cricketing side...?? :emoticon-0127-lipss :emoticon-0138-think
