    Nice one mate.

Mrs Smug has just suggested I get checked for excessive walking through the countryside ...

... no idea what's she's talking about tbh, reckons I'm always rambling <doh>

still trying to get to terms with this mind, nee fecker cares until you get over 50 then you get bombarded with 'offers' on insurance, hit 60 and every medical person in the area wants to stab needles into you and check your 'daily's'...i felt better being left alone.

Had never heard of this one until mine last year. At least it's pretty much a one off check, if ok now , unlikely that it'll be a future problem

According to her indoors I had mine years ago which I've totally forgotten about, coming up 75 shortly and have these annual birthday treats to look forward too with the nurse.
Was told last week they've changed the cholesterol levels and I'm now borderline and need to up my statins levels, been on them over 20 years without an issue and now they move the goalposts.
I know they're looking after me but all this chopping and changing of tablets is a pain in the arse.

yup, i keep asking the specialist when he asks to see me, if i can drop some...always hated tablets/medication but after the heart attack i rattle when i walk now.

saying that, i do reckon they are looking after me but i have spoken to a couple of lads that just stopped taking the meds after their attacks and were well enough to go back to work...i sometimes think i am just taking meds that 'seemed to work' for the rest so they are mainly given in a 'better more than not enough/better safe than sorry' capacity.

I had a question for the Doc but my missus wouldn’t let me ask him. if heart problems are the biggest killer ever and nearly everyone is on heart pills compared to 20 years ago, surely it should be the lowest death rate now? Otherwise what’s the point of taking the bloody things <laugh><laugh>

Had my heart attack 9 years ago and a couple of years ago I asked if it was necessary to keep taking the 5 tablet cocktail I'm taking daily, I was told in no uncertain terms that I was on them for life , so just have to get on with it.

It was a long time ago but I think it was one of the Vauxies.

Spurs had caused havoc that season and thought they'd do the same here ...

... they'd already been battered, by the time they'd made it to the ground, and went in the Roker End.

The police had a square to segregate them but they never made it there, everyone just attacked them.

They ran onto the pitch, to escape, but the police penned them in along the cinder track. One of the daft lads grabbed a groundsman's broom and went along whacking them on the heads ...

... I think it's where they got the idea for this

quite a few videos on YouTube of people doing this. Climbing sky scrappers, crains etc. Then there's that one slip and it all ends in tragedy. Out comes the inevitable go fund me page. The persons family become millionaires, loved one gone all because of "content".
