So my 5yo grandson had to have speech therapy for a couple of years as he struggled with certain letters and sounds. He’s pretty much ok now.
This week a new kid started in his class but didn’t speak much English. Frankie sat with him at lunch the first day which was nice.
Next day my daughter goes to get him from school and the teacher calls her over.
First thought was What’s he done now?
Well, teacher saw Frankie sitting with the new kid, reading to him and having a laugh together.
Teacher goes up and says I didn’t know you spoke kurdish Frankie.
Frankie says I don’t, but I didn’t used to be able to speak either so I know what it’s like.
What a hero.
