Drawing 1-1 with Rotherham at home was one of the most disappointing results of the season. However, Stuart Armstrong did score in that one, just as he did at Watford. Let's see if he can score quicker than the second minute this time (and doesn't have to rescue us late!). Rotherham is named after the River Rother, but don't bother to get in a slobber about the Rother, as there is another river in Rotherham. The Don. They should have called it Rotherdon really. Rotherham is a proper old fashioned industrial town. Like most British industrial towns it is now a former industrial town. An economic ghost town. It was once a thriving centre for coal and then for steel. This was where they learnt to 'steel' a point from us last time out. We are share the HAM parts of our names. We were both Hams, or villages. Ours was the South Ham and there's was the Ham on the Rother. That's too much ham for this vegetarian. Odd quirk of South Ham Town is that we are both a village and a town... Rotherham have conceded 52 goals this season. They have won just 3 times. We need to get out there and batter them. Incidentally, these northern types love their battered foods. 0-2
We're the famous Southampton and we're going to Rotherham! Absolutely gutted to be missing this one. Booked in for the next few aways though at least.
I apologise if we lose this one. I can't watch it as it is Mrs No7s 3x20th birthday. Surprisingly, she didn't look impressed when I offered her a trip to Rotherham for her birthday.
But there's so much to do and see besides watching the footy. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g190734-Activities-Rotherham_South_Yorkshire_England.html
Bazunu; KWP, THB, Bednarek, Manning; Downes; Smallbone, Stuey; Brooks, Arma, Fraser. Team is filthy for Rotherham.
I may show Mrs No7 that as I'm sure she will prefer that to the nice beachfront restaurant in Bournemouth I have booked for her birthday. EDIT: The on the street free parking may swing it
Crimerate.co.uk says "Rotherham Central is the most dangerous neighbourhood in Rotherham, followed by Masbrough & Bradgate in second place, and East Herringthorpe as the third most dangerous area. Rotherham's safest neighbourhoods are, in order, Rotherham South, Wickersley North, and Wickersley South & Bramley South." It's apparently the safest town in South Yorkshire, and you've mostly only got to worry about violence and sexual crimes, or bicycle theft if you're really unlucky.
