What do you think of Pritchard wanting to leave last summer but no one came in for him ?

Nick Barnes just confirmed that on Twitter

Also what is a proper deal, I think an extra year based on his age and output is fair enough

None of this really matters, he’s a gonner. It’s hard to know if he has been treated overly badly or not considering fans of every club he’s played for have hated the way he’s left, so he’s got form for it.

Barnes says Pritchard tried to leave. ITKs don’t agree on whether he was offered a reduction in terms or “just” the same or was promised a longer deal which he didn’t get etc.

feels like a lot of guesswork and piecing stuff together and nobody will know what’s right.

All we know is he refused to play for us.

good luck to the lad wherever he ends up. Genuinely hope it works out for him. We move on

I’ll add re: Pritchard, we can argue until the cows come home as to whether he should get a new deal or not. Personally I’d have liked him to stay and get a new deal.

but this idea that not getting a contract renewed is therefore being treated badly doesn’t hold much weight.

if anything if we had told him he wouldn’t get renewed back in the summer, we gave him plenty of notice. You could argue that was treating him fairer than many clubs would. Gooch and Batth went and made their moves but he didn’t. That doesn’t feel like it’s necessarily our fault
